Calling all grillers, chillers and ice cream aficionados. Join award winning chef and the ‘Godfather of the Grill’ Ted Reader on June 14 at 7&46 Shop to celebrate summer in style as part of the 5th anniversary of the popular eatery and giftware destination.
Visitors agree, you haven’t explored Kawartha Lakes until you’ve made your way to the 7&46 Shop.
“From the beginning we wanted to create a special destination for people and families,” said Donna Corneil co-founder. “7&46 Shop is more than just a store. 7&46 Shop is a family-favourite destination; a place where families look forward to visiting on their way to and from the cottage. A place where visitors to Kawartha Lakes venture to for great food, unique and special giftware, candles, collectibles and other specialty items. Most of all, it is a place where children can enjoy the fairy gardens and games, where the whole family can spend time and make memories.”
The shop and grounds are a complete experience, where everyone can check out cast art from British Columbia and shop for Canadian made giftware.
Each year 7&46 Shop has grown to meet customer needs, and new this year is a foodie’s dream, ‘Twist on 46’ – a new food truck experience that puts quality and great taste first.
“Our dedicated staff and amazing customers are the reason for our success; they make all the hard work of running a business easy.” Donna said. “We continue to invest in our business by adding products and services our customers want, supporting our community and hiring local.”
Located just west of Oakwood on Highway 7, 7&46 Shop first opened their doors on May 2, 2014,
“I remember that day,” said Dave Corneil, co-founder of 7&46 Shop. “We were working around the clock to renovate and set up the store. Our wonderful family and neighbours all came to help with the finishing touches right up until the doors opened.
“It took a while to find the right balance for the business”, Dave added. “We were experimenting with different ideas, trying to find original products for visitors. We focused on getting as many local and Canadian made products as possible.”
