As we like to live by at 7&46 Shop, a new season means a great new addition to our growing summer oasis. The season following a very successful introduction of the fairy garden, Donna and I pondered, "what else can we add to this place?".
Bouncing many ideas back and forth, I remember recalling the famous angel wings painted by Calette Miller in the small surf town of Haliewa on North Shore, Oahu that I had been seeing all over social media. That was it. We needed fairy wings to encourage our community to #SpreadYourWings!
Feeling excited and inspired, we were out purchasing paint and gathering supplies to start exercising our creativity that day.
Visiting Hawaii is a life-long dream for many, so when I got the opportunity to visit this winter, my dream came true. As you could imagine, I was pretty stoked (to say the least) when I saw the wings that inspired it all in person. I was set out on a mission to chase my passion, be surrounded by an abundance of wonderful people and views, and of course - bring back some great ideas for what's next on the corner of 7 and 46.
You can expect this season to be full of new surprises and exciting additions, some inspired by the time I got to spend hanging out on a whimsical island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
The first set of fairy wings painted for 7&46 Shop, inspired by the famous angel wings in Hawaii.
